TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: 6 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Teide’s Jewel website.
Please read them before placing an order. By placing an order with Teide’s Jewel, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
About Teide’s Jewel

Our Jewellery
Teide’s Jewel creates handmade jewellery using materials including natural freshwater pearls and 14k gold-filled findings.
Because freshwater pearls are natural materials, each pearl is individual. Variations in shape, size, surface, lustre, colour and natural markings are part of their character.
Photographs are intended to represent each piece as accurately as possible, but the exact pearls you receive may vary slightly from those shown.
These natural variations are not, by themselves, considered faults.
Measurements and dimensions provided on product pages are approximate and small variations may occur because pieces are made by hand.
Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.
For further information about the materials used and how to look after your jewellery, please see the Materials & Care page.
Prices
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
The price displayed on the product page at the time you place your order is the price you will pay, subject to any obvious pricing error.
Standard UK delivery is complimentary on all orders.
Optional upgraded delivery services may be available at checkout for an additional charge. Any additional delivery charge will be clearly shown before you complete your purchase.
Prices may change from time to time, but changes will not affect an order that has already been confirmed.
Placing an Order
Please check the products, quantities, delivery information and contact details in your order carefully before completing checkout.
When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.
If I am unable to fulfil your order — for example because an item or required material is unexpectedly unavailable — I will contact you as soon as possible and refund any payment already made for the affected item.
Teide’s Jewel reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order where there has been an obvious pricing or website error, suspected fraudulent activity or another legitimate reason that prevents the order from being fulfilled. If payment has already been taken, you will receive an appropriate refund.
Payment
Payment must be made through one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
Payment is processed securely by the payment provider available through the Teide’s Jewel website.
Teide’s Jewel does not store your full payment-card details.
Further information about how personal information is handled can be found in the Privacy Policy.
Dispatch
Each Teide’s Jewel order is carefully prepared and packaged by hand.
Please allow 3–5 working days for your order to be dispatched.
You will receive an email once your order has been dispatched.
Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.
UK Delivery
Standard UK delivery is complimentary on all orders.
Standard orders are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48, which aims to deliver within 2–3 working days after dispatch.
An upgraded Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm service may also be available at checkout for an additional charge.
Choosing an upgraded postal service does not change Teide’s Jewel’s 3–5 working day dispatch time. The upgraded service applies from the point at which your parcel is dispatched.
Delivery estimates for non-guaranteed services are estimates rather than guaranteed arrival dates.
Please ensure that the delivery address you provide is complete and accurate.
For further information, please see the Delivery & Returns page.
Delayed or Missing Parcels
Occasionally, deliveries may be delayed by circumstances outside Teide’s Jewel’s reasonable control.
If your order appears to be significantly delayed or missing, please contact me so that I can investigate the delivery with Royal Mail.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights where goods are not delivered as agreed.
Your Right to Cancel
If you purchase online, you normally have the right to change your mind.
You may notify Teide’s Jewel that you wish to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without having to give a reason.
Once you have notified me of your decision to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
You can notify me by email, through the Contact page, or by using the model cancellation form at the bottom of these Terms & Conditions.
You do not have to use the cancellation form as long as you clearly tell me that you wish to cancel.
Returning an Item
When returning an item following a change of mind, please take reasonable care of the jewellery.
You may inspect and handle an item only as much as is reasonably necessary to decide whether you wish to keep it, in a similar way to how you would inspect an item in a shop.
If an item has been used or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and this has reduced its value, Teide’s Jewel may make an appropriate deduction from the refund.
Where possible, please return the jewellery with its original packaging and package it securely to prevent damage in transit.
For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.
I recommend using a tracked postal service and keeping proof of postage until your refund has been completed.
Personalised or Custom Jewellery
Jewellery that has been personalised or made specifically to your individual specifications cannot normally be cancelled or returned simply because you have changed your mind.
This exception does not apply merely because a standard Teide’s Jewel design is made or assembled after you place your order.
Your statutory rights still apply if personalised or custom jewellery is faulty, damaged or not as described.
Refunds
For an eligible change-of-mind return, your refund will be issued to the original payment method.
Refunds will be made without undue delay and within the applicable legal time limit once the returned goods have been received or appropriate evidence of return has been provided.
If you paid extra for an upgraded delivery service, Teide’s Jewel is only required to refund delivery costs up to the cost of the least expensive standard delivery service offered.
As Teide’s Jewel currently offers complimentary standard UK delivery, the additional charge paid for an upgraded delivery service is not refundable following a change-of-mind return after dispatch.
If you cancel an order before it has been dispatched, any unused delivery upgrade charge will also be refunded.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Every Teide’s Jewel piece is carefully checked before dispatch.
If your jewellery is faulty, damaged, not as described, or you receive the wrong item, please contact me as soon as possible.
Please provide your order number and, where helpful, photographs of the issue so that I can resolve it.
Your legal rights in relation to faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are separate from your change-of-mind cancellation rights and are not affected by these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
Jewellery Care and Normal Wear
Jewellery is subject to normal wear over time.
The lifespan and appearance of a piece can be affected by how it is worn, stored and cared for, including exposure to water, perfume, cosmetics, chemicals, moisture and physical impact.
Please follow the recommendations on the Materials & Care page.
Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or damage caused by care that is inconsistent with the care guidance is not necessarily evidence that the jewellery was faulty when supplied.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is genuinely faulty or does not meet the standards required by law.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Teide’s Jewel name, branding, product designs, photographs, graphics and original written content on this website belong to Teide’s Jewel or are used with appropriate permission.
Website content may not be reproduced, copied, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.
This does not prevent you from sharing Teide’s Jewel website or social-media content through ordinary sharing features for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Website Availability
I aim to keep the Teide’s Jewel website accurate and available, but I cannot guarantee that the website will always operate without interruption or error.
The website may occasionally be changed, updated or temporarily unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons.
If an error affects an order you have already placed, I will contact you where necessary.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.
Teide’s Jewel is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses resulting from circumstances outside reasonable control, except where the law provides otherwise.
These Terms & Conditions are intended for purchases made by consumers for personal use.
Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with the Teide’s Jewel Privacy Policy.
Please read the Privacy Policy for information about what personal information is collected, why it is used and your rights.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to Teide’s Jewel, the website, services used or applicable law.
The Terms & Conditions applying to your purchase will be those in effect when your order is placed.
The latest version will always be available on this page.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections applying where you live and may have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes rights you have under applicable consumer law.
